A Letter From Our President

Welcome to West Chester University's Panhellenic Council website! My name is Zoe D'Angelo and I am the current President of the Panhellenic Council. I am an Elementary Education major with a minor in Literacy. I became a member of the PHC community in the spring of 2022. I knew little about Greek Life but I was eager to learn more. I jumped in with both feet when I joined Junior Panhellenic and applied to be a Recruitment Counselor. Both opportunities have allowed me to learn a lot about myself as an individual as well as a leader, and pushed me think of what I truly value in life. Becoming a part of the Panhellenic Community has given me a sense of belonging at West Chester that I was missing before. Through the recruitment process, I have found a forever home with genuine friendships and endless amounts of leadership, community service, and social opportunities that have truly transformed my college experience. I am beyond honored to have the opportunity to serve on the Panhellenic Council Executive board alongside eight other women from different organizations to help better our Greek life. At West Chester University, Panhellenic is home to ten National Panhellenic Conference member sororities on campus. Every organization has their own philanthropies and different values that contribute to our PHC community. When it comes to recruitment, we follow a values-based system that allows each potential new member to learn about all ten of our chapters to find which organization aligns best with their personal values. Although each chapter may be different, the beauty of Panhellenic allows PHC women to join as one and collaborate on a shared goal of Greek unity. Each chapter dedicates countless hours and efforts to give back to their individual philanthropies as well as participating in our shared philanthropy, Circle of Sisterhood. Circle of Sisterhood raises financial resources for entities around the world that remove educational barriers for girls and women facing poverty and oppression. As sorority women, we continue to prioritize our academic success in the classroom, our philanthropic efforts in our community, and our endless bond of sisterhood we have with each other. The Panhellenic community has shaped me into the confident leader, loyal friend, dedicated student, and overall woman I am today. I will be forever thankful for West Chester and the Greek Community for continuously making me a better woman every day.
