This weekend team Byte Me (Mary Bauman, Nolan Prochnau, and Daniel Stein) won 1st place at the CCSC Eastern Programming Contest at Mount Saint Mary's University! They solved 7 of the 9 problems and were the only team to do so. Additionally, Byte Me was the only team in the entire conference to solve the Werewolf problem.
Our other programming team, QBit Me (Ben Crocker, Ellis Weaverkreider, and Noah Barajas), placed 4th and were the only team to solve the Logic Circuit problem. Combined, the two WCU teams were the first to solve 6 of the 8 solved problems, a significant achievement!
Finally, Kyle Brennan and James May's paper under Dr. Amir won "Best Faculty Research Paper" for their work in using ML to translate English to ASL.
