 Events

Hey There, Rams! I hope this finds you more rested than you have been in the last month. As the days get longer and warmer, we hope you can enjoy it now that finals and graduation are over. For those Rams still in class over the summer, we're still here! You can still reach out to us by phone, email, or Zoom. If you couldn't join us for Lavender Graduation, where we recognized our 2020 & 2021 Graduates, you can check out their photos below or pop over to our Insta. Look out for our special Pride exdition in two weeks! ƒîê
Before our peer educator team left for summer break they made a couple of guides for your summer. We'll be sharing those with you over the next few months!

Apologies

We have all messed up! Even if you didn't mean to hurt someone, it's important to do better. Our peer educator team made this guide to help start you off. Like learning any skill, it takes time and practice. Hold each other accountable! Apologies will remain sincere and come more easily.

Job Searching

Searching for a job as a trans or queer person has another layer of complication for it. Whether you're searching for a summer job, first job after graduation, or mock interviews it can feel scary. Here is a little guide of things to consider when job searching, interviewing, and navigating your identities in that process. Don't forget that we are a resource for you and WCU's Twardowski Career Development Center is also available for support.

Legislation

Part of advocacy work is the consistent pursuit of knowledge. There is a lot of harmful, trans and queer oppressive legislation introduced every day. While this guide is an overview, we encourage you to look into your local laws and legislation. There may be ways that you, too, can help advocate in your communities or spaces for LBGTQIA+ folx. The more you research and do your own work around trans and queer experiences, the better you can understand the impact these legislative acts may have.
