Hey everyone,
As you know, there is an upcoming Adopt-A-Block opportunity on Sunday, October 4th with the Pharmaceutical Product Development Club (PPD Club) so I think it's best to get to know a bit more about them before we meet. Please take a minute to read the info below!
Who are we?
Hello, Pre-Dental Society, Minorities in Medicine, and the Pre-Med club, we want to introduce ourselves as a club. Pharmaceutical Product Development Club (or PPD Club for short) is the major's club where we are able to congregate and talk about internship opportunities, pharmaceutical news, tips for going out into the real world, and graduate school options best suited for one's future line of work in the pharmaceutical industry. We help each other in various ways and do so in order to see each other lifted up allowing them to reach their true potential in their desired career and passion. This club also serves as a great resume builder!

Last Meeting
In case you were unable to make our last meeting, that's ok! we all live busy lives and can't make everything. The meeting started with a few talking points from Adam about certain group events we can do with other clubs such as Dine and Donate and Adopt a Block (which we will talk about later on). After this, our guest speaker Gabi Hemsch talked to us about how we can register to vote and how we can get involved in activist activities.

Next Week
Next meeting on October 8th at 7 pm, we are having another guest speaker from the Career and Development Center talk to us about resume building strategies. A resume is the first impression you send out to a company and making it look good is important because first impressions matter. Not to mention Dr. Pruitt will also be in attendance!

Fundraising
If you have any ideas for fundraising or community service activities for the club to participate in together, or with other clubs, do not hesitate to send it our way. We want to be as active as possible so we are always accepting ideas on how we can grow our club and let our name be known throughout the community and the University of West Chester!

Upcoming and Current Events
As a club we want to have a farther reach and to give back to our community, so we are participating in an Adopt a Block with West Chester University's Pre Dental Society and Minorities in Medicine! For anyone who is unaware of what an Adopt A Block is, it is an activity where we go to a street and clean up for 15-20 mins in order to better how our community works. If you want to participate we have a group leaving from the Ram Statue on Sunday, October 4th at 11 am. We would love for anyone that can come participate in this feel-good activity!
We also are in the works of a second Adopt a Block and we are working on a Dine and Donate with other clubs so we can connect as different people.
