Cultural Heritage Month Speaker: Native American Heritage Month featuring Mark Charles

Join us for an engaging talk from Mark Charles, a dual citizen of the United States and the Navajo Nation. Mark Charles is co-author of a recent book entitled, Unsettling Truths: The Ongoing, Dehumanizing Legacy of the Doctrine of Discovery. During Mark's talk, he will make the case for a national dialogue on race, gender and class in the United States and he will discuss how the Doctrine of Discovery paved the way for the ongoing dehuminization of Indigenous Peoples.
