Come explore all that Campus Recreation has to offer! Tour the three floors of fitness spaces, try out pop-up group exercise classes, climb the rock wall, visit the sport club expo, and much more! Talk with Campus Rec staff about all the ways to stay healthy and active with your friends on campus! Enjoy a live DJ, refreshments and giveaway prizes!

A cardio and strength training class based on a variety of resistance and sprint sets on bicycles. Learn combinations of climbs, jumps, and sprints to get your heart rate soaring!

Shuttle buses are free to WCU students! Hop on the Uptown Loop shuttle which takes you to a nearby shopping center, downtown West Chester and East Campus.

All first-year students are invited to join us during Welcome Week in the heart of beautiful downtown West Chester for our Welcome to the Borough program! See what the Borough has to offer with exclusive student discounts including places to eat, shop, snap photos, volunteer, and visiting iconic West Chester locations all while checking items off on your West Chester bucket list. Check off at least 5 items to receive an exclusive t-shirt (while supplies last). Students can also enjoy complimentary Rita's as our official "welcome gift"! As a WCU student, you are part of the West Chester community, so start exploring your town now! The Uptown Loop shuttle will be running throughout the event for students to utilize or take a nice walk into town! Students taking the shuttle should get on at the Church St. Stop on campus and get off at stop #4 (Walnut & Miner).

There will be something for everyone, the best music, tons of food and of course the chance to meet everyone here at West Chester! There will also be sensory friendly options for our friends who aren't down to dance with party lazers and foam.

Please join us for Commuter Success Day on Thursday, August 24th from 11am-3pm! Commuter Success Day is specifically designed for first-time commuter students to learn more about the West Chester University experience. Students will have the opportunity to meet other students, get set up for academic success, feel more comfortable with campus resources, and ask current students questions about life at WCU.

Pop up hut where Students will learn the eight dimensions of wellness, with each student answering a question about one dimension and its connection to cannabis use.
3:00 PM – 4:00 PM
INTERACTIVE WORKSHOP that invites students to break up into pairs or small groups of their peers and play a connection card game. This game involves asking each other questions and engaging in small ice-breaker activities designed to help students foster deeper, more meaningful connections with others.
4:00 PM – 5:30 PM
First-gen students are invited to learn about campus resources, success strategies, and how to get involved at WCU. Registration will be available on Ram Connect.
8:00 PM – 10:00 PM
The Ram Rally is a tradition held during the beginning of the semester as an exciting way to fire up our new Golden Rams! The event features the Incomparable Golden Rams Marching Band, the Cheerleading Team, and our beloved mascot, Rammy! Head to Hollinger Fieldhouse, wear your purple and gold gear, join in the fun and grab plenty of free Ram Swag!

A popup hut on campus where Students will learn about alcohol by volume (ABV) and will order drinks based upon the amount of ABV.

Enjoy an outdoor movie showing of Super Mario Bros. and buttery popcorn with your favorite RAs on the residential quad. You don't have to live on-campus to come enjoy this movie with us. This is open to all new students!
