Online Escape: Demystifying Ancient Egypt with an Egyptologist

Take a journey through ancient Egypt with an Egyptologist.
A conversation with Samia, a Tour Director and Egyptologist, is about as close as it gets to time travel. Her country's fascinating history dates back thousands of years, and she'll break down ancient Egypt for you during this Online Escape.

Ever wonder how a huge slab of stone held the key to deciphering hieroglyphics? Samia will show you how the writing on the Rosetta Stone helped to translate and unravel the meaning of the writing system used in ancient Egypt.

Then, get a closer look at the other aspects of this civilization. Learn about the unique geography of ancient Egypt and how it helped shape its culture and day-to-day life. Meet the gods that were worshipped by ancient Egyptians. And hear from Samia about everything the ancient Egyptians built, from the step pyramids of Saqqara to elaborate tombs to the Great Pyramids of Giza.

It's not every day that you can ask an expert in Egyptology anything! You'll have an opportunity to participate and ask questions as you spend an hour in Egypt.
