Conference Mission
The Brothers of Excellence Conference will provide college Men of Color with the knowledge and community connections to:
-identify a social issue that impacts Men of Color.
-explore their civic leadership roles in connection with their multiple identities.
-recognize resources and individuals to create a sense of community of support on campus.
Theme: Strength in Numbers
This year's 5th Annual Brothers of Excellence Conference, "Strength in Numbers" will focus on the importance of love and unity among the community of Men of Color. United we stand, divided we fall. It is in fact, the strength in numbers that empowers us as individuals and in creating change for our communities.
Men of Color include men who identify as: Alaskan Native, Asian American, Black or African American, Caribbean American, Desi American, Indigenous, Latina/o/x, Native American, Hawaiian/Pacific Islander and Multiracial

5th Annual Brothers of Excellence Conference 2021- Introduction and Keynote Conversation: Rodney McLeod
Rodney McLeod is one of the top safeties in the NFL and was instrumental in helping lead the Philadelphia Eagles to a Super Bowl title in 2017. During this past offseason, Rodney signed a multi-year deal with the Eagles to continue to lead their defense and served again as a team captain for the 2020 NFL Season. Prior to joining the Eagles, Rodney played for the Rams after a stellar collegiate career at UVA.
Rodney has also been on the forefront of several important community initiatives such as voter registration education and social justice. Since 2018, Rodney has been a leading member of the Eagles Social Justice Leadership Council to help continue the conversation on important social issues. Alongside his wife, Rodney launched the Change Our Future Fund which focuses on educational empowerment, community issues, and raising money for cancer research. Additionally, during this past season Rodney was the Week 2 NFLPA Community MVP and the Eagles' nominee for the prestigious Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award.
