WCU Live! Featuring Comedian - Trey Kennedy

WCU Live is featuring comedian Trey Kennedy during Homecoming and Family Weekend! Make sure you purchase your tickets so as not to miss out on all the laughs!!

Trey Kennedy is a born and raised Oklahoman who never expected to enter the entertainment industry. While attending college at Oklahoma State University, Trey found fame on the mobile app Vine, amassing more than 2.5 million followers. He was a top creator on the app for more than three years and, through this experience, discovered a passion for entertainment. Trey has now continued his social media success on platforms such as Instagram and TikTok where he has a combined 12+ million followers. He currently has a podcast titled "Correct Opinions" and just concluded a sold-out comedy tour selling out cities across the United States. Trey's self-produced comedy special "Are You For Real?" can now be streamed on YouTube. He hopes to continue creating fun and relatable content in order to deliver some joy where it's needed and help people find some common ground through comedy.

Please plan to join us for an exclusive event during Family Weekend where you will have the opportunity to meet Dr. Laurie Bernotsky, the new 16th President of West Chester University. Dr. Bernotsky will share information about her history here at WCU, the importance of families as partners during their student's journey here on campus, and goals for her presidency. You will also have the opportunity to meet the new Vice President for Student Affairs - Dr. Jasmine Buxton who will also share some remarks about herself and Student Affairs and how we partner with families for student success. There will be additional engagement opportunities with members of the current Ram Fam Council as well as with Dr. Lisa Montgomery, Director of Parent & Family Relations. A buffet breakfast will be served to all in attendance. There will also be an exclusive gift which will only be provided to attendees of this event.

Join Campus Recreation for a 2v2 pickleball double elimination tournament! (All equipment will be provided).

Matches will consist of one game to 15 points, with teams switching sides after one team gets to 8 points. The winner must win by 2 points (ex. 15-13).

West Chester Artisan Exchange

West Chester University families are welcomed on Saturday, October 26th from 10 am to 1 pm to the West Chester Artisan Exchange. This open-air market takes visitors on a trip around the world—through food and craft! The market hosts and supports entrepreneurs committed to producing hand-crafted, sustainable foods while sharing sound business practices that have a positive social impact. Upon registration at WCU, families will receive a $10 “market money” flyer accepted at any vendor. One $5 voucher is good until the end of October and a second $5 valid through the end of 2024. Plan to bring a cooler and to visit Family Weekend and beyond.

WCU Football Game - WCU Golden Rams vs. Millersville Maurauders

Cheer on the Golden Rams as they face off against Millersville University and enjoy tunes from the Incomparable Golden Rams Marching Band at half time!

Parking at the stadium is $10 cash, but you are welcome to park for free on North Campus and take the free Campus Shuttle down to South Campus. The shuttle will pick up guests in front of Wayne Hall and at our M Lot parking lot.

No backpacks or large bags will be allowed into the stadium. Prohibited items include, but are not limited to, purses larger than a clutch bag, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, luggage of any kind, computer bags, camera bags or any bag larger than the permissible size. Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items after they have been inspected. As a reminder, alcohol is not permitted on the property or in the stadium.

Historical Walking Tour

Starting at the preserved Old Main archway on High Street--the symbolic beginning of the university--tourgoers will be treated to a one-hour overview of the evolution of the campus. The tour will emphasize how the physical campus reflects the broadening of the school's educational mission as well as wider social changes. The walking tour will take place around the historic quadrangle, a focus we will enhance by considering expansion to surrounding blocks. Alumni are encouraged to share their own memories and stories as we stroll through campus history.
**For this tour, meet between Main Hall and the Library on High Street.
