Hello

My name is Catherine Young and I serve as the President of the Student Government Association here on campus. I wanted to reach out regarding our upcoming Town Hall on Tuesday 2/28 at 7:15pm in Sykes Theatre.  We are very excited about this event as we have been preparing for the last couple of months to help advocate and lift the voices of students on campus.

At this event, I will be moderating the questions that have been submitted for administration. With this role, I want to ensure all voices are heard as there as many campus concerns that each of us has. Right now, there is a lot of conversation around fair and equal housing. While we do have a section devoted to this topic, there are many other concerns that we are hoping to discuss.

If time permits after we discuss the questions that have been submitted, we will be opening the floor to live questions.

In order for this event to be a success, we are hoping to have civil discourse between all parties. Our ultimate goal is to get answers to your questions and allow the administration to hear from students. We cannot do this without equal participation from both student leaders and administration. We are hoping for a smooth run event so we can get to all questions spanning across many campus departments.
