Faculty/Staff Trainings
Tuesday, Feb. 17 from 1 - 3 pm (in person)
Friday, March 27 from 9 - 11 am (via Zoom)

Learning Outcomes:
•Identify the definitions of and the differences between addiction, substance use disorder, sobriety, abstinence, sober curious, and recovery
•Understand the current campus climate surrounding substance use and misuse, alcohol and other drug policies, and student perceptions around alcohol and other drugs
•Summarize ways to be a recovery ally in attendee’s role on campus

This training will cover information including: defining terms and acronyms around substance use and recovery; stigma, language, and identity; understanding our current campus culture; recovery hostile campuses versus recovery friendly campuses; navigating difficult conversations with students; what is means to be a recovery-informed ally.
