Whether you are a mindfulness expert or have never tried a mindfulness practice before, Wellness Promotion is excited to support you on this next step of your mindfulness journey. While supplies last, students that register will also receive a mindfulness kit containing a notebook, stickers, and other items to support you during the program.

What to expect: this is a 4-week email campaign launching in October after Fall Break and concluding before Thanksgiving Break. The goal of this program each week is to provide a topic of mindfulness to focus on, to give some information and new things to consider, and to provide weekly activities to try on your own as you work to identify what mindfulness practices work better for you.

Below is a timeline of what you can expect each week - each email will also include a mindfulness activity you can complete:

Timeline:
-Week 1: Monday, October 21 - Thoughts and Feelings: what is mindfulness and setting realistic self-expectations; pleasant events versus difficult events; naming our emotions
-Week 2: Monday, October 28 - Mindful Movement: how stress physically manifests in the body; connecting the mind and body together; feeling grounded
-Week 3: Monday, November 4 - Mindful Breathing: how breathing regulates stress; if breathing doesn't help, other options; setting intentions and daily mantras
-Week 4: Monday, November 11 - Using Our Senses: how our senses impact mindfulness; finding what works for your body; incorporating practices into daily life as student
-Post: Friday, November 15: email recapping what we learned, additional copies of each activity, campus resources and upcoming events, and post-campaign feedback
