All About Daedalus
The Daedalus Literary Magazine works to put a voice to the creative minds of WCU. We are always looking for new members, and we would love to have you on our team!
As a literary magazine, we accept works that tell a story, with a primary focus on creative writing (both fiction and nonfiction) and fine art (of virtually any medium). Read more about our guidelines under the "Submission Guidelines" tab!
For the 2025-2026 school year, our club will meet every other Tuesday in Sykes 10B.
When we don't have enough pieces to create a full packet of submissions, we will host non-mandatory social events that will be open to members and non-members alike! The social events also serve as a chance to add a bonus point to the attendance of club members. If you miss a mandatory editorial meeting, you can use one of your "bonus meeting points" on the meeting to not have the missed mandatory meeting counted against your attendance. You must attend at least 70% of the mandatory meetings to be credited as an editor in the magazine.
If you submitted work in the packet we review during a meeting and choose to attend that meeting, please do not tell people you were the one that submitted the piece, try not to speak while your work is being discussed and also please refrain from voting on it.
We look forward to hearing from you!
