The WCU EMS Club is an active member of NCEMSF, an organization dedicated to scholarship, research and creating a safer, healthier environment on college and university campuses through the support, promotion, and advocacy of campus-based emergency medical services. The Foundation is committed to the advancement of existing response groups and assisting in the development of new response groups.

WCU EMS attended the first time in the club history at the 2025 NCEMSF conference in Pittsburgh. This conference is held annually and brings organizations from all over the country together for the weekend for educational lectures and skills sessions led by doctors, nursing staff, and pre-hospital providers from across the country. This also allows our providers to gain insight on new and upcoming clinical practices specific to the collegiate setting.
