A Letter From Our President

Welcome to the West Chester Panhellenic Council website! My name is Madison Hammer and I am a junior International Business major with a minor in Business Law. I am the current President of the Panhellenic Council, with experience of serving on the previous Panhellenic Executive Board as Vice President of Standards. When I first came to West Chester, I had no intentions on joining Greek Life and didn’t fully understand the concept. I decided to enroll in formal recruitment Spring 19' to meet new people and see what the sorority experience had to offer. After joining my sorority, I found a new community filled with forever friends, leadership, service, and social opportunities that transformed my college experience. I am beyond honored to have the opportunity to serve on the Panhellenic Council Executive board alongside nine other women from different organizations to help better Greek life on campus. West Chester currently has ten National Panhellenic Conference member sororities on campus that have different areas of service and offer unique flairs to our community. Our newly adopted values-based recruitment process allows each potential new member to easily see which organization aligns best with their personal values. Although each sorority has their own traits to offer the Panhellenic community, we are able to come together to reach a shared goal of Greek unity. Each chapter spends countless hours giving back to their individual philanthropies raising thousands of dollars each year. As sorority women, we continue to prioritize our academic success in the classroom, our philanthropic efforts in our community, and our endless bond of sisterhood we have with each other. Since joining my chapter and community in Spring 19’ I have bettered myself as a leader, a friend, a student, and an overall woman. I have the Panhellenic community to thank for making me a better person and continuously making me a better woman every day.

Thank you for taking the time to check out our website and we hope you register for recruitment!
