As aspiring anthropologists, we strive to make a difference both in the immediate campus community as well as the broader global community. Sometimes our members go above and beyond in accomplishing these goals by engaging in an array of activities. The below section highlights recent member projects and pursuits that exemplify how the application of anthropological concepts can truly make meaningful impacts on the world.
Gia Chen is the Director of Cultural Affairs of the Chamber Project branch of Global Music Partnership, a platform for creative collaboration between musicians and organizations around the world. As a member of this organization, Gia performed a concert in Washington D.C. last December to commemorate Kazakhstan Independence Day in collaboration with the Embassy of Kazakhstan. This event was featured on the Khabar Channel, Kazakhstan's most-watched news channel!
